Sources of Discovering Meaning in Life & Adversity

Adapted from our work with serious illness patients, in discovering meaning in the moment and meaning in life when facing despair, difficulties, traumas, tragedies, chronic illness and end-of-life.
This time of year, as we are in a joyous and often difficult time for others, and approaching the transition into a new year, we have the opportunity to discover meaning nuggets, meaningful opportunities, areas in our life that have been and are filled with meaning and purpose.
Meaning and purpose in life leads toward experiencing inner peace and contentment, fulfillment, happiness, and the ability to cope with despair, extreme, tragic, and difficult life situations.
